Web Design in North Georgia: About Us

The 3by400 web design team was formed in 2006 as a result of three individuals who have been working together on projects in the North Georgia area (Dahlonega and Suches), but as individual organizations. What has really brought us together in a big way is Joomla! Sound confusing?

Brent Laminack and Gerry Sommers had been working together successfully on projects for a few years. Brent then hooked up with Beth Snider in order to develop some applications for her existing clients. When an opportunity arose for the three to work collaboratively on a project, they decided that each person had unique talents to bring to the table, and that together, it was a great combination.

There are great new additions to our team on a regular basis, catching on to our work style quickly and working hard. See our entire team!

What's In a Name?

Since Gerry and Beth are based in Dahlonega, and Brent is based in Suches, they decided that 3by400 (meaning GA-400, a major highway linking Atlanta to North Georgia) was an appropriate label. So, we are 3by400!

Does that mean there are only three of us? Absolutely not! See the whole 3by400 team.

Joomla Update 1.5.20
This morning I updated all our Joomla 1.5 sites that don't use JACLplus from 1.5.18 to 1.5.20. What happened to 1.5.19? I hear you ask. Well, it appears to be a 'stutter release'. About the time 1.5.19 was released last week, a security bug was discovered, so 1.5.20 was released Sunday. Things looks stable now, so I've updated all our sites. As a friend of ours says "A website isn't like a picture you hang on a wall and forget about. It's more like a car that you have to keep tuned up." This is part of our ongoing tune-ups.

From Our Clients

I cannot imagine doing business without the web site 3by400 set up for us. We use it in every part of our business and have, except for contracts, eliminated all the paperwork we used to have. It's a valuable tool for our sales force starting with the first sales call to entering an advertiser's information. 3by400 has made everything so simple. I tell most of the prospective advertisers who call our office to just check our web site for any information they may need about 400 Edition. From entering an Event to looking at the specs for an ad--our web site has it all--thanks to 3by400.
